Beatbox Kitchen

February 1, 2013

After a brief visit to Melbourne Wonkdrinks I had the chance to test the burger from Beatbox Kitchen. I had long been wanting to try their much recommended burger and tonight was the perfect opportunity. I ordered the Raph Burger and a serve of fries and I wasn’t disappointed.

burger and fries

A soft but warm bun held a thick and juicy patty that is accompanied by a generous lettuce leaf, tasty onion, mild cheese and tomato. The beef patty oozes moisture but is perfectly cooked. The fries are the best shoestring fries I’ve had in years. They were crisply cooked but soft to the centre. I could have munched many more of them.

The comparison to Mr Burger is hard to make as they are different types of burgers but each is made with care and much thought. The burgers are equally wonderful but the Beatbox Kitchen fries are a clear winner.

Beatbox Kitchen is definitely worth a visit. Don’t hesitate. Get there ASAP.
